What is your mission?
As a Buyer, you will play a key role in range planning, forecasting, buying, and monitoring the performance of sales, inventory, and markdowns. We welcome people who have strong interest in fashion & strong analytical skills to join the team.
- Support the buying team in planning seasonal assortments aligned with business targets.
- Help forecast order quantity for the assigned category.
- Assist with tactical actions to hit KPIs which include sales target, sell-through, and achieve optimal inventory level closing stocks.
- Support execution of launch plans, allocation plan, pricing and range planning for new seasons.
- Support execution of in-season activities and campaigns which include repeat orders, markdowns & consolidation.
- Research and provide input on new beauty brands and product trends to bring onboard
- Build and maintain productive relationships within the different level of stakeholders, cross-functional teams and partners.
- Help analyze country/partner level nuances and competitive landscape to optimize business performance.
- Support seasonal product training in-store merchandising and retail teams to maximise sales potential.
- Participate in conducting seasonal product training in-store
- Participate in departmental projects to improve the overall business operation or productivity.
- Perform any other assignments as required by the line manager.
Who are we looking for?
- Academic qualification in Business/Retail Management / Fashion Marketing / Merchandising.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in buying or merchandising.
- Experience in beauty industry is a plus.
- Excellent computing skills, proficient in MS Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and organization skills to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking & fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Enjoy interacting with people of diverse cultures.
- Keen eye for details with an aptitude for numbers.
- Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
- Keen sense and passion in the beauty & fashion industry.
- Flexibility to travel for international fashion weeks and tradeshows, if required.
