What is your mission?
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of DevOps engineers to implement best practices for cloud security across the development and operations lifecycle.
- Design and implement cloud security frameworks, policies, and controls to protect critical applications and infrastructure. Work with the security team to proactively identify, mitigate, and monitor cloud security risks.
- Oversee and manage Cloudflare’s security features, including but not limited to Web Application Firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, rate limiting, SSL/TLS management, bot mitigation, and access control policies.
- Automate security practices within CI/CD pipelines, including vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and security incident detection.
- Manage and coordinate the response to security incidents involving cloud infrastructure. Analyze, investigate, and respond to vulnerabilities and breaches using Cloudflare and cloud-native security tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and IT teams to design, implement, and enforce security best practices in cloud environments. Regularly report on cloud security status and incidents to senior management.
- Stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Continuously assess and improve cloud security practices, infrastructure, and tools.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR. Support audits and compliance activities.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience (5+ years) in DevOps, with a strong focus on cloud security and infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience managing Cloudflare services, including but not limited to:
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- DDoS protection
- SSL/TLS management
- Bot mitigation
- Rate limiting
- Access control policies
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security services such as IAM, VPC, VPN, firewalls, and encryption.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and tools such as IAM, logging, monitoring, encryption, threat intelligence, etc.
- Experience in integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of network security principles, including load balancing, VPNs, DNS, and network monitoring.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in cloud security contexts.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have:

Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Cloudflare Certified Network Engineer are a plus.

Experience with security monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, or similar.

Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and the ability to champion a culture of security within the development lifecycle.
