What is your mission?

Position Summary

The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Manager plays a critical role in driving financial performance, business insights, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing group reporting activities, providing finance business partnering support to operational and enabling functions, leading a small team, and leveraging advanced analytics and AI capabilities to enhance financial planning and reporting processes.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of FP&A and collaborate regularly with the CFO on strategic and ad hoc projects. The role requires strong financial acumen, exceptional analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reviews.
  • Analyse financial results, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Monitor key business drivers and financial KPIs to ensure achievement of organisational objectives.

Management Reporting

  • Review and validate various management reporting deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure timely submission of management reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and board reporting materials.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and reporting quality.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to operations teams and enabling functions.
  • Support business leaders in planning, budgeting, cost management, resource allocation, and performance optimization.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Challenge assumptions and proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations to Operations and Enabling Functions teams
  • Translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Facilitate financial review meetings and communicate recommendations with confidence and credibility.

Strategic Projects & CFO Support

  • Partner closely with the CFO on strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects across the organization.
  • Support business case development, investment evaluations, cost optimization initiatives, and transformation programs.
  • Perform financial analysis and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing executive-level materials for Board, Management Committee, and leadership discussions.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of two FP&A professionals.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

AI and Data Analytics

  • Apply AI tools and technologies to improve financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-support processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual FP&A activities using AI and advanced analytics.
  • Promote adoption of AI-driven insights and best practices within the finance organization.

Who are we looking for?

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, finance business partnering, or corporate finance.
  • Experience in reviewing management reporting of multinational companies.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with operational and corporate functions.
  • Prior people management experience leading small teams.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives, CFOs, and leadership teams.
  • Proven track record of supporting strategic projects and executive decision-making.
